Thank you.
When the first fires broke out in July, we did not know whether anyone would answer. You answered. 💚

loose or missing horses reported
You shared a link at three in the morning. You opened your stables to horses you had never met. You hitched up a trailer and drove towards the smoke. You called about a loose horse at the side of a road. You brought hay, water, a lead rope, and you stayed until everyone had got through.
None of this was planned. None of this was paid for. And that is exactly what worked. ✨

Broken down on the road with horses on board?
A trailer or a lorry breaking down with horses inside is the case nobody covers: breakdown cover takes care of the vehicle, never the animals.
It is now possible on SOS oPaddock. You report the breakdown, nearby volunteers are alerted, and each one says whether they can come and move your horses, shelter them for as long as it takes, or lend a hand on the spot. 🚚
Vote for us in the Galorama competition
SOS oPaddock is taking part in the Galorama competition, with Pôle Hippolia. 🏆 Voting is free, it takes thirty seconds, and it asks nothing more than two clicks.
Right now it is the helping hand that counts most for us: it would make an enormous difference to what comes next. 🙏
Voting is closed. Thank you to everyone who voted. 💚
The platform is not closing.

Open all year roundYour availability stays recorded, your places stay visible. The day something happens near you, you will be alerted just as you were this summer.
One last thing, for the sake of transparency.
Putting SOS oPaddock online cost around €3,000: servers, text messages, mapping. We paid for it ourselves, and we will not be asking for donations. If you have €3,000 to give, give it to the people who lost everything: they will make better use of it.
This is a labour of love, not a business. It was from day one, and it will stay that way. 💚
